How much does TV mounting cost?

It is billed at $125 an hour with a 2-hour minimum. Hiding wires inside the wall is extra.

Pricing

What is included, and what costs extra?

Included: finding studs, leveling, mounting and tidying cables on the surface. Extra: in-wall cable kits, mounting over a fireplace, masonry walls, and mounts you need us to buy.

What wall types can you mount on?

  • Drywall over wood studs: the standard; heavy TVs go into studs.
  • Plaster and lath: common in older DC, Baltimore and Annapolis homes; drilled carefully to avoid cracking.
  • Brick and concrete: masonry anchors and more time.
  • Metal studs: special toggles.

What can you mount?

TVs, floating shelves, mirrors, curtain rods and blinds, wall cabinets, bike hooks, art and gallery walls.

What furniture do you assemble?

Flat-pack beds, dressers, desks, bookcases, wardrobes, cribs and outdoor furniture. Tall pieces get anchored to the wall to prevent tip-overs.

How long does mounting or assembly take?

A single TV on drywall is often under an hour. A large wardrobe can take several hours, so a few pieces usually fill the 2-hour minimum.

Do I need a permit to mount a TV?

No for mounting itself. Adding a new outlet behind the TV is electrical work and is a separate job.

FAQ

Mounting and assembly FAQ

Do you provide the TV mount?

You can supply it, or we can pick one up and bill it as materials.

Can you mount a TV above a fireplace?

Often yes, depending on the wall and heat. It takes longer and costs more.

Can you hide the wires?

Surface cable covers are simple. In-wall power needs electrical work quoted separately.
